Bright & Bold

I know, I know I have been gone forever doing things here and there, but I promise I am back!!!! I have had so much going on in my personal life and business life that I had to step away for a min to get myself together. Now that I am back I will be bringing it with the style post, fashion tips/new, and DIY's/how to post. I am so ready for nice weather I can't take it. In Syracuse one day it's 80 and the next it's 30 and snowing...smh. This cold weather is not stopping me from pulling out my spring wear though!

Style Note: The skirt I am wearing is from my clothing boutique and the necklace is from my jewelry boutique so get them before they sell out!!!!!!!

Spring Essentials

Spring is just around the corner (it starts in 3 days) and by now you should start to rack up on some essential items that can go with any outfit.
  • Tanks & Tees: You should always have a supply of tanks and tees for all occasions. They are so convenient.
  • Scarves: Being that scarves are a new go to accessory, you should keep a few handy.
  • Blazers & Other Jackets: Time to put away the parka and pull out the slimmer and more convenient outwear.
  • Sandals and Spring Inspired Shoes: Colorful shoes and sandals are a spring must.
  • Bright Lipstick: Enough of the fall colors, lets bring out those pinks, oranges and etc.
  • Nail Polish: Just like lipsticks, time for bright colored nail polish.
I'm so over winter and I am pretty sure you are too. So join me as I prepare to bring a little more color into my life. Here's to bringing in Spring colorfully!!!!!

ModCloth: Uniquely You Campaign

I was recently asked to participate in the ModCloth Uniquely You Campaign through a Look Challenge between myself and other bloggers. I though it was such a cool idea and anytime I can put a look together I am down. We had to create a complete look from the dress they selected and up to seven other items on their site. The winner will have their look shared on ModCloth's Polyvore page with credits to the blogger. Everyone style is different so I will be excited to see what others come up with.

Call Me Bond......Jasmon Bond

You ever put on an outfit and instantly feel bad ass? Well that's me today. I was unsure of what to wear but knew I wanted to wear this skirt because I have not worn it yet and the weather is getting colder. We're in that in between stage were in the morning it's really cold but gets warm by the afternoon. Once I figured out everything to wear, you couldn't tell me nothing. I am at a stage in my life were I dress to put me in a better mood. I have said many times that what you wear can brighten up your day and I stand by it. I woke very angry due to lack of sleep but by the time I finished getting dressed I was in a better mood...Why??? Because I felt I looked like a true BOSS and very BAD ASS lol.

Style Has No Size

Syracuse Style Presents The Landmark Theatre Window Project was a great success. It was an amazing event with awesome windows, companies and attendees. The turnout was great and there were a ton of news sources out. Like most of the time in fashion you will not see many plus size things. I knew like the others that this event would not feature a plus size model or company. This was a great opportunity to spread body love and style regardless of your size through Size Fabulous.

The positive feedback on my window, model, and message was outstanding. I cannot thank Syracuse Style and The Landmark Theatre more for this opportunity. I met fabulous women and men and even educated a few people lol. My model name is Hope Reese and was serving it in the window. She was a great model and I will definitely use her in the future.

I have included her outfit deets at the bottom as well as one of the many video news reports and they get a great up close shot of my model at the end.

Neon Fun OOTD

I found some awesome reversible skirts at Target on sale for $6 Whoot Whoot. I had to buy all of them but unfortunately the blue wasn't in my size. I had seen these skirts in another Target but not in my size. A great rule of thumb is if you see something you love and they don't have your size, try another store. Usually you will be able to find it in your size if you shop all their stores. Anywhoo I wanted to wear the neon side because neon is popping right now. Basically I got 4 skirts for the price of 2. Can't complain about that.

Boss Status OOTD

I can't help but feel very powerful this morning. I am not lying when I say your outfit can change your whole mood for the better. I was tired and didn't want to go to work, who does, this morning. I already had my look picked out last night so all I had to do was put it on and boy did it perk me up like coffee. I just got these shoes on Monday and couldn't wait to rock them. Everything was planned around my shoes and just fell into place with no problem. Now I'm walking around with a smile on my face all because of what I am wearing.

Its Just Those Rainy Days

Woke up to rain this morning so I had to change my outfit. The original plan was to wear a cute pencil skirt and heels, but I refuse to have wet legs and feet so I switched out the skirt for pants and heels for loafers.

Skater Tanks and High Waist Skirts

So this weekend I spent my whole Saturday at the Waterloo Premium Outlet. I have not been there in years and had not planned on going either. My boyfriend brought up going as a great way to get out of the house with our daughters and I though it would be a great idea. I knew I wouldn't be able to shop till I drop but I was really just looking for great pieces that can be versatile for work and play. I shopped at stores I never have before like straight size stores and found very cute pieces that fit me perfectly.

It would be a long day in hell before I though a straight size piece would fit my plus size body. I no longer think that way. I have other plus size bloggers to think for that. I follow so many other plus size fashionistas and can honestly say they have taught me a few things. Both my skirt and tank is from straight size stores. The tank is also from the men's section. I wouldn't wear this shirt work but this skirt is the bomb. What's crazy about this skirt is that it won't even go up over my butt and hips. I have to put it on over my head and still fits me perfectly. I also love how it's pleated in the front and back and the entire waist is elastic. The shirt is so cool, I think it's more for women than it is for men. This outfit is so fun, I just love it!!!

The Colorful Pick Me Up

So, today is a rough day. You woke up not feeling 100 percent your usual self. The process to get out the door for work is done with little effort and all you can think about is how many hours until you’re back home. You’re leaving the house with your hair disheveled and your outfit is in need of major work. You simply look like you don’t care…

More often than not, our look for the day is a direct reflection of how we feel. Stress, your mood, being physically drained, the struggle of eating healthy and even the amount of physical activity you get can affect your thoughts and clothing choices. But starting today, we are going to fix that… Tip 1: The way we dress can actually change the way we feel.

Start with your outfit. Your outfit is the base of your look and sets the initial tone. When in need of a pick-me-up opt for bright colors and patterns. Bright colors like yellows, pinks and neon shades are known to positively alter your mood. These colors are energy boosters and will jumpstart positive thoughts, which will help you to survive any challenges that are thrown in your direction. The best prints to “spice up your day” are floral prints. Colorful floral prints are mood boosters. They give off positive energy and keep you alert. So when you are feeling drained and tired — pull out those reds, oranges, yellows and floral prints and lay on your foundation.

The next item to focus on is your accessories. Beginning with your jewelry, look for statement pieces. Bring out your mom’s pearls or put on a
