A Bandeau Top in December.....I'm Layer Crazy
I have gone layering crazy and this time I'm pulling out my bandeau top. I wanted to wear this baby doll tunic (which is a maternity item), but couldn't find a tank top that I would need to go under it due to the cold weather. I thought it would be cute to make it kind of like a peek-a-boo with a cool design tank underneath. I either had to put a t-shirt under (that looked crazy) or rock a bandeau top under and BOOM I had my look. I picked a camo one and added my knee length timberland boots to top the look off. I'm definitely combat ready today, but in a cute and girly way!

Limp Chic
Yesterday was not a good day for me. I slipped and fell on black ice. Black ice is ice that blends in with the pavement and you usually will not notice it until you are sliding across it. My right leg was definitely hurt, but today it is feeling better. I was walking with a limp for a while but thankfully the pain is subsiding and so is my limp. Whether I have a limp or not I still have to rock out.

My Love/Hate for Pantyhose
I absolutely love the way pantyhose and tights enhance an outfit, but I have been struggling to find a perfect fit for myself. I have been buying many different brands only to be disappointed after trying to put them on. Plus size bodies are shaped in so many ways that a simple size like 3x does not work for me. My problem lies within my thigh area. Following the size chart is no problem except for the fact that size charts does not include thigh measurements, thus leaving me to guess. I recently bought some super cute tights from Catherines that were a 3x/4x and guess what...everything fit perfectly except for my thighs. It was just to tight for me to wear them comfortably, so I will have to go get a bigger size. What sucks about getting a bigger size is that the waist area will be bigger than it should and I will have to keep adjusting...smh. However I did get the right size in their regular pantyhose. The waist is a little big but I can adjust that with no problem. Hopefully I can find the perfect fit soon.

How to Quickly Pack Your Weekender
I learned a lot over this holiday break and the biggest lesson was how NOT pack my weekend bag. I didn't plan on packing for anything but I ended up staying at my grandmother's house with my sisters. I had to run home and just throw some things in a bag and go, which I hate to do because I always forget something when I pack in a rush. Sure enough I packed outfits that looked good in my head but looked terrible on...sigh. So just in case you need to pack a weekend bag in a hurry, I've made a short list of items to make sure you bring everything you need.
TOPS: You should bring one of three styles you like. Maybe a high lo, a button-up, and a sweater. Of course it depends on the weather but if you have limited space in your bag, only bring three tops.
BOTTOMS: Try to limit your bottoms to two no more than three. Remember you will only be gone for the weekend so the bottoms you bring should be able to flow with all of the tops you bring.
SHOES: Bring no more than two pairs. Both should also be able to flow with everything else you have brought. So bring maybe a tall boot or bootie, and a regular shoe.
ACCESSORIES: Accessories are easy. They don't take up much space so you can bring whatever you like.
Now your items will depend on the season but this quick guide will apply to all seasons. If you are ever in a jam and need to just throw things in your bag, reach for items you love to wear. Do not try to experiment in a rush because you may be disappointed like I was. Use my guide as a reference so you will always be ready for a spur of the moment weekend getaway.
